Dr. Kamol Dey is an Associate Professor in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (ACCE) at the University of Chittagong (CU, Bangladesh). He received his MS (2010) in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka (DU, Bangladesh) and earned his PhD (2019) in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Brescia (UNIBS, Italy) after working with Prof. Luciana Sartore. His research interests focus in the area of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with emphasis on designing biomaterials to engineer tissue constructs and drug delivery devices. Synthesis clinically-relevant advanced hydrogels to influence stem cell differentiation is the core interest. In addition, he works on environmental remediation using sustainable nanomaterials and technologies. The research keywords include Biomaterials, Hydrogels, Biopolymers, Tissue Engineering, Nanocomposites, Fiber-reinforced composites, and Photocatalyst. Dr. Dey has published more than 40 scientific papers with H-index of 13 and citations > 400 and served as a reviewer for international journals in biomaterials and polymers area from RSC, Elsevier, Wiley, and MDPI.
