Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Statistics in Medical Research discuss the quality applications of statistics in Health Care research profession. The objective is to highlight advances in statistical sciences and its application to solve problems of human health and diseases, with the ultimate goal of advancing quality of the public health.

The International Journal of Statistics in Medical Research seeks to publish new biostatistician models and methods, new statistical theory, as well as original applications of statistical methods, important practical problems arising from several areas of biostatistics and their applications in the field of public health, pharmacy, medicine, epidemiology, bio-informatics, computational biology, survival analysis, health informatics, biopharmaceutical etc.

The journal provides a platform for communication between practitioners, researchers, educators, students and policy makers concerned with the application of statistics within Health Care Profession.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the members of editorial office. To save time for authors and peer-reviewers, only those papers that seem most likely to meet our editorial criteria are sent for formal peer review. Those papers judged by the editors to be of insufficient general interest or otherwise inappropriate are rejected promptly without external review.

Manuscripts judged to be of potential interest to our readership are sent for formal review, typically to two or three reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewers' advice, from among several possibilities:

  • Accept as it is
  • Accept with minor changes
  • Accept with major changes, inviting the authors to revise their manuscript to address specific concerns before a final decision is reached
  • Reject
