He has published 26 research papers in international pear reviewed journals, 15 research articles in national pear reviewed journals, 27 popular articles in vernacular languages, spoken 6 lead papers at national or international conferences, 21 oral and 35 posters at international or national symposium/conferences.

Prof. Veysel Soydal ATASEVEN, DVM, PhD

Active researcher and lecturer with +27 years of experience academicians on graduate and undergraduate levels. Supervised a large number of MSc dissertations. Many of articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented as oral/poster presentations in international/national congress, in some of which he attended as invited speaker. Currently, his main studies are about virus infections of primary importance in sustainable herd health&management in dairy herds, such as BVDV, BoHV-1 (IBR/IPV-IPB), BoHV-4, BRSV, BPIV-3 in cattle/buffalo, and small ruminant lentiviruses (VMV in sheep; CAE in goat). Prof.Veysel Soydal ATASEVEN (DVM, PhD) is a member of Turkish Society of Immunology and Turkish Veterinary Microbiology Association.

Dr. Andrea Bragaglio. Researcher at Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics, Centre for Engineering and Food Processing. His activities are dedicated to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies of agricultural and livestock systems, animal science, precision agriculture, and 4.0 agriculture. Researcher of Animal Science at University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, Department of Veterinary Medicine. Main research interests: techniques and procedures aimed to improve immune response and quality productions in ruminants, adopting agroindustry by-products. A multidisciplinary approach to the assessment of the environmental impact of ruminants, in particular cattle and buffaloes, adopting Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method. Teaching activity for animal science and veterinary medicine students, disciplines of sustainable husbandry, precision livestock farming (PLF), and animal science. PostDoc position at Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics, Centre for Animal Production and Aquaculture, mainly working in precision livestock farming (PLF) about dairy cattle. Ph.D. in Agricultural, Forest, and Food Sciences obtained at the University of Basilicata, School of Agricultural Sciences. He acquired specific expertise in environmental impact with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) criterion, particularly about beef. Specific animal welfare skills were also acquired, mainly about dairy livestock, cattle, buffaloes, goats, and sheep.

Prof. Dr. Juan Carlos Gutiérrez-Añez, ORCID number: 0000-0002-3827-1186
D.V.M., M.S., Ph.D. Post-Doc (BIH-Charité, FLI-ING, Germany)
University of Zulia, College of Veterinary Medicine
Maracaibo-Venezuela

Dr. Gutiérrez holds competencies in animal reproduction and handling several reproductive biotechnologies, including reproductive ultrasonography, artificial insemination, estrus synchronization, superovulation, and embryo transfer, besides the whole package of in vitro embryo production (ovum pick up: OPU, oocytes evaluation, IVM, IVF, IVC, embryo cryopreservation) in addition, to an interdisciplinary approach to molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry through techniques such as FACS (fluorescence-activated cell sorting), computer-aided sperm analysis (CASA), RT-qPCR, and immunofluorescence. His current leading research interest involves the cloning and modification of the genome of farm animals through gene editing. The applications of this technology include the identification of target genes for disease resistance and animal production, as well as the area of biomedical models in animals for the study of diseases that affect humans through CRISPR-Cas9 technology.
