Prof. Przemysław J. Tomasik, MD, graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He is an active pediatrician and pathologist (consultant). He received the honorable completion of doctoral studies 1999 (PhD thesis: The function of the entero-island axis in children with eating disorders), habilitation 2011 (thesis: Secretion of selected peptides of the gastrointestinal tract and adipose tissue in infants). He works as a researcher and academic teacher at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry of the Institute of Pediatrics, Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University, and practices at the University Children's Hospital in Krakow. He is the author of over 120 full-length papers, a participant of over 100 scientific conferences, lecturer at several dozen postgraduate courses. Tutor of 3 completed doctoral students. And he is currently serving as a consultant in the laboratory diagnostics of the Lesser Poland province.
