Georgi Petrunov is professor of Sociology of deviant behavior and crime at University of National and World Economy, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is specialized in studying crime in the Balkan region and the Eastern Europe. His research interests are in the field of study of organized crime, money laundering, human trafficking, prostitution. Authored by articles in journals like The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, European Journal of Sociology, Sexuality Research and Social Policy, Trends in Organized Crime. Chair of Bulgarian Sociological Association (2017-2018).
