Abstract: The article represents the results of a phonetic experiment devoted to the study of pragmatically, and the stylistically determined manifestation of directive speech acts in the modern German language. The experiment allowed establishing the prosodic invariant of the directive speech act and describing variant patterns realized in diverse situational conditions which demonstrated a different degree of categoricalness and revealed their differential character on the level of prosodic expressive means. The research showed that pragmatic identification and stylistic differentiation of directive speech acts is realized utilizing all prosodic parameters - pitch, intensity and tempo. The complex analysis of pitch, intensity and tempo characteristics specific for situational variants of the directive illocutive allowed defining the level of involvement of these prosodic means in the functional realization of directive speech impact. Abstract : The Dilemma of Maternity between Need and Duty: A Feminist Reading of Doris Lessing's the Fifth Child
Abstract: Doris Lessing is widely known as one of the most celebrated contemporary female writers in English literature. Unlike other feminist writers who advocate equality between women and men, Lessing’s feminism is mainly concerned with defending women in the context of the different social pressures they are exposed to in a given society. The Fifth Child is one of Lessing novels in which she adopts the implicit feminist approach in portraying the character of Harriet Lovatt. Harriet Lovatt wants to lead a free life disregarding the conventions of marriage and maternal life in the sixties by getting married to David and having a large family. Therefore, she is scapegoated by her society for deviating from the prevailing norms. The main aim of the study is to analyze The Dilemma of Maternity between need and obligation, based on the Feminist Reading of Doris Lessing's the Fifth Child. The study demonstrates that how Harriet has to adapt to her adverse situation and, in doing so, she has to overcome a lot of hardships in the process of constructing a new self. In a word, Lessing wants to underscore how the condition of any woman who wants to live on her own is worsened just because of deviating from the prevailing norms in her community. Moreover, in this study, we attempt to point out the maternity dilemma in today’s society, and finally, draw some conclusion. Keywords: Scapegoat, maternity, dilemma, feminism, motherhood. |

Abstract: The article presents a comparative analysis of physical development of 13-year-olds and cadet basic profile of teaching in urban schools in the parameters of somatometry and visiometry characterizing physical development, functional state, adaptation of the heart and body to current training loads. Coming of puberty is marked by intense growth of the body with heterochronous changes in the proportions and dimensions of its muscular skeletal system and the structure of internal organs. During this period, the role of mechanisms for self-regulation of heart activity and, in general, autonomous regulation of the functions of the cardiovascular system increases. At the initial stage in adolescents the manifestation of tachycardia and cardiac type of self-regulation of blood circulation increases. It is accompanied with deterioration in inotropic function of the myocardium against the background of a pronounced effect of sympatotonia and vagotonia on the systolic function of the myocardium. Abstract : The Sacral and the Profane in the Space of Festive Culture
Abstract: The problem of the study of “sacral” and “profane” in the discourse of the philosophy of culture has repeatedly been raised in numerous works of foreign and domestic authors. The fundamental development of the concepts of “sacral” and “profane” opens up grand-scale opportunities for the study of various forms of culture through the prism of the theory of “sacral”. The oldest collective form of culture that is extant to this day is the festivity, at the base of which there are “sacral” / “sacred” values and the truths of a particular society, no matter what type and era it belongs to. Modern socio-philosophical and cultural problems that arose at the beginning of the 20th century led to the emergence of value disorientation of several generations of people, which, in turn, has been leading modern society to even larger problems in all areas and directions of modern civilization. The major purpose of the study is to analyze and determine the interest and relevance to the study of the holiday as a mirror of the era, reflecting the images of the sacral and the profane in the culture of the people, their real aspirations, ideals, values and their consequences. Keywords: Sacral, profane, culture, philosophy of culture, festive culture. |
